When you put it on keep in mind that jeep doesn't tap all the holes in the chassis, since your jeep didn't come with this skid it may not have been tapped for it. Jeep used a special self tapping bolt. It has about 1/8" of blank, then the threads slowly increase. IIRC the cross member bolts are the same. I have one I can take a pic of if you need to see it. Put the bolt on the impact, make sure it's straight and thread it in. I'm sure you can do it by hand, but it will suck.

When I put my skid on I had to ratchet strap the mounting arms together, and I had another strap pulling it back into place. If you need any help give me a call.
