Help with locker installation
I'm planning on picking up a lunchbox locker for my front diff (Dana 30) pretty soon, either a Spartan or an Aussie. I'm a pretty capable mechanic, but I've never done any differential work. I'm pretty sure I could figure it out, but just to be safe, I'm wondering if anyone with this kind of experience would be willing and able to assist me with the install once I get the parts. Thanks in advance!

powertrip, ryan is the man, he's done most of are lockers. he knows the short cuts. he did jono's jeep, that winch will come in handy to get it done. all you gotta do is help and bring coors light.

Cool, thanks Rick. Good to know he has lots of experience. Convenient too, I'm a Coors Light guy myself!

Locker
I check the Aussie locker site and they are still out of the front locker. Better luck on eBay or ask Rick were he got his locker from. And it was fun getting mine out but Ryan the man.

Dammit! I just ordered one last night. I paid $254.99. I shopped around, it was the cheapest I could find.

no worries, I'm pretty sure that's the best price you could have found anyway.
Re: Help with locker installation
Yeah, I was on the fence between an Aussie and a Spartan, and it turned out I found the Aussie for cheaper, so that's what I went with.

Almost all of us run an Aussie and I think you will like it. Nobody has any issues with theirs plus I really like that their warranty has no tire size restrictions.

Re: Help with locker installation
My upgraded tie rod will be at my front door some time tomorrow. I'm wondering if I should wait to install it until after the locker install. Meaning, will it be easier to do the locker with the tie rod removed?
